Storeowners from the Machneh Yehudah shuk in Yerushalayim visited Rav Yitzchok Tuvia Weiss, gaon av bais din of the Badatz of the Eidah Hachareidis of Yerushalayim, at his home.
The purpose of the meeting was to update Rav Weiss on the current status of shemiras Shabbos at the stores in the shuk and the efforts being undertaken to prevent any further chillul Shabbos.
It was a warm, encouraging, uplifting meeting, a true kiddush Hashem, as all participants focused on increasing kavod Sheim Shomayim.

The person sitting on the right side with his back to the camera is David Cohen. He’s a yerushalayimer yid who R’ Shmuel Aurbach once referred to him as one of the “lamed vav tzaddikim” in our generation. For years he used to go to the shuk during shabbos afternoon to make sure stores didn’t open up before the end of Shabbos. However his chesed and tzedeka goes much further than that. He has raised and married off several children that weren’t his own and his moser nefesh for many yidden.
