A monumental and emotional event took place in Cleveland, Ohio, last night as Yeshivas Telz celebrated 150 years since its founding.
The historic maamad, was marked by grandeur and reverence, honoring a century and a half of Torah greatness.
The Munkatcher Rebbe made a rare and historic visit from New York to return to the yeshivah where he once learned in his youth. His arrival was greeted with great excitement and emotion by the roshei yeshivah, talmidim, and alumni present.
The event drew prominent rabbanim, roshei yeshivah, distinguished alumni, and members of the Cleveland Jewish community, all coming together in celebration of Telz’s contribution to the OLam HaTorah.

There was an extensive program, with many Torah personalities, much more than the presence of one specific alumnus who happens to be a Hasidic leader.

Why would the editors of Matzav.com frame a major event with many major Torah personalities in attendance in the very narrow lens of the Munkatcher Rebbe participation? While anecdotal in nature, the fact that the Rebbe had attended Telshe is hardly the primary takeaway from a monumental event.

im sure there were many rabonim that came to the dinner although it seems the dais wasnt that tall or wide
lastly the extensive programming , not sure how many bochurim are currently in yeshiva inc high school but even with all the guests and assuming the growing cleveland community the beis medrash was far from packed

Anyone who wants to know the truth can really watch the recordings. They should not naively believe some biased outsider from New York who perhaps never even was in Telshe, and wasn’t there on Sunday.
EMES; i watched the shiurim part , i will chk again but thats what i felt , how many minutes of the other droshos…
packed beis medrash are you kidding please look at the video , just the bochurim , kollel and staff , is 3/4 of the beis medrash , it didnt look like so much community etc.. the proof is that the shtenders stayed so how packed could it have been , im sure it was a big event alot of kochos put in etc.. chas veshalo not knocking anyone
You obviously were never in Telz. Just from you saying that the shtenders weren’t removed, it’s obvious. The benches are stationary so you wouldn’t have any more room if the shtenders were removed. Every single seat was taken with many standing as well.
