Photos, Video: 25,000 in Uman for Rosh Hashanah

[Photos and video below.] Almost 25,000 Yidden gathered this past weekend in Uman to spend the Yom Hadin at the kever of Rav Nachman of Breslov.  Rav Nachman’s kever attracts tens of thousands of people from around the world each Rosh Hashanah in keeping with the legacy of the Rav Nachman since his petirah 199 years ago. For the past 20 years, this migration has taken place in a more or less orderly fashion and the numbers have been growing from year to year. One effect is the price of airline tickets, which have risen in past years.

The number of people in Uman, it is believed, was down a bit this year because of the economy.
