I’ve been in Lakewood long enough to remember when the Bais Faiga hall, the first chasuna hall in Lakewood, was built. The original plan was to have a big chandelier in the lobby. That was deemed to be too fancy & was scratched. Those were the days…
Alot of people find that weddings are a social status, and if you’re not having alot of people, why have it big and nice. I’m not like that. I like things to look pretty, regardless of where I am. I think that things looking pretty and nice is fine, it’s only when it is used as a means to raise the bar or flaunt something over another when it becomes a problem.
Wow. The hall is so tastefully decorated. Really beautiful. Kol hakavod.
May there be many many simchos in this new hall, which should fly to EY with the coming of Moshiach soon.
