Photos: Over 500 Boys From 16 Cities Attend Pirchei Midwest Regional Siyum Mishnayos in Detroit


[Photos below.] Over 500 boys from 16 cities across the country gathered in Detroit for the Pirchei Agudas Yisroel Annual Midwest Regional Siyum Mishnayos over the weekend of Shabbos Parshas Mishpatim – Shkalim. Boys attending from Cleveland, Detroit and Chicago, and thirteen other cities.

A team of dedicated volunteers, led by Rabbi Mordechai Katz, executive director of Pirchei Detroit, and Mr. Kerry Silver, organized the event.

Harav Leibish Becker , Rav Efraim Levy , Reb Yitzchok Ehrman attended as well.

Yeshiva Gedola Ateres Mordechai hosted portions of the davening and learning starting on Thursday, with the bochurim of the yeshiva serving as mashpiim for the boys.

Activities included a visit to the Joe Dumars’ Fieldhouse, a sports complex, on Friday.

Over the weekend at the Yeshiva Gedolah Ateres Mordechai, the boys heard from Harav Yehuda Bakst ,Harav Menachem Butrimovitz, Rav Herschel Blumenfeld, Mr. Gary Torgow, Rabbi Yisroel Menachem Levin, Rabbi Benny Wielgus ,Harav Lazer Beer, Rabbi Pinchos Zuckerman, Rabbi Eli Gordon and others.

The main event was held Motzoei Shabbos with over 800 people attending at the Bais Yaakov of Detroit. Harav Meyer Simcha Bakst was the keynote speaker.
