On Tuesday, February 20, Misameach celebrated the inauguration of its new Family Center on the Lakewood-Jackson border with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the presence of Congressman Chris Smith and Senator Bob Singer.
Congressman Smith praised Misameach for its extraordinary efforts in bringing joy and hope to the ill and disabled. On behalf of the State of New Jersey, he presented the organization with an official proclamation applauding its success signed by State Senate President Stephen Sweeney and New Jersey General Assembly speaker Craig Coughlin.
The event was attended by many donors, community activists and directors of other organizations, as well as local dignitaries and public officials, who were impressed by the beautiful, state-of-the-art facility that has already serviced hundreds of children since opening a few months ago.
Plaques of recognition were presented to the donors in appreciation of their support of the Misameach Family Center.
