PLEASE HELP: This Sweet Little Girl Was Born With One Ear

Hi!

My name is Ahuva.

I am 5 and half years old. We have four kids in our family. I am the oldest. After me comes my brother Aryeh Leib. Our precious younger sister, Penina Leah a”h, was niftar two years ago. We miss her so much. Our cute baby is Nechama.

My parents were surprised when they saw me when I was born. I was missing an ear and my cute face was deformed. They later found out that I also had two holes in my little heart. This is all part of the condition I have called microtia.

B”H, my heart surgery, at the age of three months, went well. I am now developing properly. I have many friends, loads of personality and am beloved by all!

I am in primary in Bais Faiga of Lakewood. I wear a hearing aid on my “good” ear and a hearing headband on the other area of my missing ear. I keep my parents quite busy with countless appointments, therapy, and hearing aid replacements.

I am now big enough to have a surgery to make me a second ear. They will also add a muscle to my face so that I can smile beautifully like everyone else. We need to travel really far away, to Los Angeles, for the surgery. It costs a lot of money. We’re davening to Hashem that the surgery should go well. Please daven for me, too.
