[COMMUNICATED]

My dear fellow Jew!

All my life I have tried to manage on my own and not ask for help from anyone, however circumstances have changed and my life is spinning out of control, so now I have no choice but to swallow my pride and beg for help.

My name is Dovid Krishevsky. I am the father of 14 children, and together we live in a small two-bedroom apartment in Jerusalem, cramped together in 70 sq. meters.

I work as a cashier in a supermarket. The small salary I make is barely enough to sustain us on a daily basis, yet I never complained and tried not to ask for public aid.

My wife is a seamstress and until a few short months ago she would sew and repair clothing to help supplement our income, but who could have imagined that she would fall ill and have to stop working? My dear wife totally stopped functioning and then, two weeks ago, she had to undergo a difficult surgery. We are all praying that she will get better, return to her former self, and once again be able to function as a mother to our poor children.

Meanwhile, all the burden of the home has fallen on my shoulders, and I have no idea how to deal with all of this all alone.

Our second son is engaged to be married. The wedding is in two weeks and what have we been able to provide? Nothing! A groom without the basic need for his wedding day!

How can I lead my son to the chuppah in such a state? And so, with all of the shame, I have turned to begging.

Please do not ignore our grief and desperation. Please answer my plea for help with a kind heart and generous hand. Please help me in any way you can!

May you never know scarcity and sorrow. May you always know good health and joy.

My son, the chosson, will pray for your wellbeing as he stands under the chuppah. Please send us your names. We will be eternally grateful.

Thank you very much, and tizku l’mitzvot.
