Polish Paper Recommends Netanyahu For Nobel Peace Prize

A popular Polish news portal has suggested that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the head of Poland’s ruling far-right Law and Justice (PiS) party are jointly deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize for fighting “anti-Semitism and anti-Polanism.”

The praise comes after the two leaders reached a compromise on a controversial law setting penalties for implicating Warsaw’s culpability for crimes committed by Nazi Germany during World War II.

The editor-in-chief of the popular Gazeta.pl news site, Tomasz Sakiewicz, wrote that “no one has done more to abolish mutual stereotypes and build bridges among nations” than Netanyahu and PiS leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski, whose party’s controversial legislation was rolled back last month following an unprecedented diplomatic spat between Poland and Israel.

In what is perhaps the greatest symbol of good compromise, both leaders were hit with  waves of criticism from their respective countries over the rollback compromise, where each side claimed capitulation to the other.

    Give him a medal.

  2. It should be an embarrassment to accept the Nobel Peace Prize if guys like Arafat, Obama, Carter, Al Gore and Henry Kissinger and Hitler received it.

  3. Hitler yms”h NEVER won the Nobel Peace Prize; he was nominated for it by a member of the Swedish Parliament in mid-1939. Just sayin…
