More than 1 in 5 college students said in a new poll that they’re not enrolling in classes this fall.
Results from the College Reaction/Axios survey:
- 21% said they are not taking classes for the fall semester, with most of that group saying they are working instead.
- Of the students who are taking classes, 83% said they will follow their colleges’ protocols related to the COVID-19 pandemic, which involve social distancing and wearing masks.
- 77% said their schools should not participate in fall sports this year, including football.
- 58% of students who live on their college campus said they wouldn’t tell school officials if someone disobeys COVID-19 protocols.
