About 1 in 5 Americans say they lost a relative or close friend to the coronavirus, highlighting the division between heartache and hope as the country itches to get back to normal a year into the pandemic.

A new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research illustrates how the stage is set for a two-tiered recovery. The public’s worry about the virus has dropped to its lowest point since the fall, before the holidays brought skyrocketing cases into the new year.

But people still in mourning express frustration at the continued struggle to stay safe.

“We didn’t have a chance to grieve. It’s almost like it happened yesterday for us. It’s still fresh,” said Nettie Parks of Volusia County, Florida, whose only brother died of COVID-19 last April. Because of travel restrictions, Parks and her five sisters have yet to hold a memorial.

  1. There’s a reason why they don’t teach math in America anymore. You can manipulate and sell any lies to a person who doesn’t have basic math skills. Fortunately, some of us got their education elsewhere. Here’s the basic math: the US population is about 350 mil, “1 in 5” claimed in the article is about 70 million people. About 500k are claimed to be the US covid fatalities at this point. This 70mil to 500k means that at least 140 people are relatives or close friends to each 1 person that died from covid. That’s impossible: the contemporary Americans have relatively small families and only a few somewhat close friends – a circle of family and close friends is maybe a dozen or two, definitely nothing remotely close to 140. They aren’t heimishe people with 100 cousins, mind you. Therefore, the only possible conclusion is that this article is a lie. Study math. Use the critical thinking skills. Don’t be victimized by the Fauci cult.

  2. The timing to “release” of this poll is quite obvious.

It is supposed to make one rationalize spending 1.9 Trillion.

    Typical FEELING over THINKING.
