A survey conducted by Mano Geva of the Midgam Institute for Israel’s Channel 2 a year after last year’s elections shows a meteoric rise for Yair Lapid and Yesh Atid.
The poll produced bad results for the prime minister, with Bibi Netanyahu not even mustering a Knesset majority if elections were held today.
– Likud: 26 seats compared to its current 30
– Yesh Atid: 19 compared to its current 11
– Zionist Union 18 compared to its current 24
– Joint Arab List: 13, which is what it has currently
-Bayit Yehudi: 11 compared to its current 8
-Yisrael Beytenu: 8 compared to its current 6
-Kulanu: 7 compared to its current 10
– Yahadut Hatorah: 7 compared to its current 6
-Shas: 6 compared to its current 7
Meretz: 5, which is what it has now
The current gov’t coalition is slim, a slim 61-seat margin. The poll showed the current coalition falling to 57.
