Poll Shows Public Dissatisfied With Netanyahu’s Handling Of Pandemic

The high approval rates that stood for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic received a major blow on Monday as a new poll conducted by broadcaster Channel 13 showed the public shifting its position dramatically.

A whopping 61 percent of respondents said they are dissatisfied with Netanyahu’s performance thus far. Nineteen percent said they are “quite satisfied” and 15 percent answered they are “satisfied.”

However, the premier’s Likud party still came up as the largest Knesset (Israel Parliament) faction, were elections to be held today, with 33 seats. Opposition Leader Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid enjoyed recent criticisms over the government’s actions, soaring to second place with 18 seats.
