This afternoon, President Joe Biden called the Skverer Rebbe to ask for the support of his chassidim in the upcoming election, especially with regard to Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY), Rockland Daily reports.

The president reportedly went on to add at the conclusion of the call, “You will have an open door to my administration,” as he made it a point to mention that he works closely with the present elected officials and that they have an open door to his office should there be anything they need.

The phone call lasted about fifteen minutes.

  1. The president reportedly went on to add at the conclusion of the call, “You will have an open door to my administration

Oh for sure. He gave the Rebbe his private cell phone number and instructed all white house switch board operators to transfer all calls from the Skverer Rebbe to him immediately

  2. I will assume though Skver do not have TVs or only listen to naki radio, I hope they doesn’t fall for this lame, panderer, liar in chief. Please!!!!!

  3. It’s a great kiddush Hashem that even non-Jews know that we follow our Rabbonim.
Btw, this is a strong reminder that voting is important, Skver isn’t the biggest Chasidus – but they vote. If you don’t vote you don’t count.

  4. In other news on that very same day Biden also met with LGBT TikTok Influencer to bash states outlawing a certain surgery for minors. VD’L Biden told him that “what America really needs right now is more transgender activism to help change public opinion”

  5. I wasn’t aware that amongst Biden’s many skills he also masters the yiddish language . Maybe it was English after all , it just sounded more like yiddish .

  6. The sad part of this story is that Skver will probably vote for the Democrats, including Hochul. As will Satmar and many other Chassidic “blocs”. They will throw their values out the window for a few paltry dollars. And even sadder, this time they could actually make a difference with their vote, seeing how close the polls are regarding the Governor race. But they’ll do what they always have done…

  7. I have to agree with the first Anonymous. Sounds like he is offering a voter a “service” in exchange for their vote (in particular, a vote for someone else). Sounds like illegal vote buying. It is quite different than legal vote buying by saying “vote for me because I will always be available to all of my constituents”. Here, it is “vote for him and I will give specifically you something I don’t give (to many) others”.

And while normally a person’s vote is secret, the nature of that community is to be concentrated in specific geographical location from where the voting trend of the community may be inferred with confidence.

  8. “to ask for the support of his chassidim in the upcoming election, especially with regard to Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY)”

    Maloney is an open toeivah’nik.

  9. I’m sure everyone got their marching orders, they’ll be a handful of votes for the Republican and everyone else will be voting Democrats. Keep those programs coming.

  10. Matzav should investigate whether New Square votes Democrat. If so no more tzedoka should go to them from the greater frum community..
