Emotions were running high in Philadelphia on Monday after police officers fatally shot a man armed with a knife, sparking another round of protests.
The shooting occurred just before 4 p.m. when two officers fired at a 27-year-old man who authorities said ignored commands to drop the weapon. It was not clear how many times he was hit.
He was taken to a hospital where he later died. Family members identified him as Walter Wallace Jr., the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

It bothers me greatly that the protesters are not practicing social distancing. Is it worth even one freedom fighter dying from the deadly Covid just to protest the choir boy’s death at the hands of evil racist cops?
Sounds like a set-up to increase tensions. BLM is a violent, destructive, racist and anti-Semitic group of criminals. They are a danger to society. Sad that the police have to waste their time and energy reigning them in at good taxpayers expense.

Other media reports are saying that the shooting victim was mentally ill and did charge the police with a knife.
I have a mentally ill relative who did the same thing. She was tased, not shot. She is still alive and the police officer doesn’t have to live with the fact that he shot someone who didn’t know what she was doing. My relative is white, of course.
