A preliminary IDF investigation reported by Channel 12 News reveals the shocking conditions in which Hamas kept six Israelis hostage in a tunnel before executing.
The IDF spokesman presented the findings to the hostage families, describing inhuman conditions.
According to the report, there is some evidence that the hostages attempted to fight back against the terrorists before being brutally murdered.
The 6 hostages were kept in a narrow, dark tunnel, with no air ventilation, causing difficulty breathing. The tunnel was barely tall enough for them to stand up. The narrow tunnel was only wide enough for two of the hostages to lie down to sleep at the same time.
The tunnel did not contain any bathroom or shower, forcing the hostages to use the same water bottle they used for drinking to shower. The hostages suffered from hunger and weight loss, with it being reported that Eden Yerushalmi weighted only 79 pounds when the IDF recovered her body.
In the tunnel the IDF discovered a small flashlight and a ventilator. They alo found a chess board, writing utensils and notebooks, which will be given to the families.
