
It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of R’ Avrohom Berger z”l. He was 93.
R’ Avrohom, a longtime resident of the Bais Hatalmud community of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, was an outstanding baal chesed and mokir rabbonon who lived his life engaged in hachzokas haTorah and gemillus chassodim.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Shoshana Berger, and his children, R’ Tzvi Berger, R’ Yechiel Berger, R’ Dovid Berger and Mrs. Rivky Newman.
The levayah is taking place at Yeshiva Mayan Hatorah in Lakewood, which is led by R’ Avrohom’s son-in-law, Rav Avrohom Mordechai Newman.
The levayah will continue at Yeshivas Bais Hatalmud in Bensonhurst at approximately 1:30 p.m. en route to Wellwood Cemetery in Long Island.
