Rabbi Asher Turin zt”l

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rabbi Asher Turin zt”l, who served as rov of the Baycrest Terrace Minyan in Toronto for many years.

Rabbi Turin learned in his youth at Yeshiva Ner Yisroel in Baltimore, Maryland. He later became a rebbi at Yeshiva Ner Yisroel in Toronto.

Rabbi Turin was recognized as an outstanding talmid chochom with an encyclopedic knowledge of a wide spectrum of yedios haTorah.

Rabbi Turin was a co-director of the Machon Tzvi Institute in Yerushalayim and, in addition to serving as rov of the Baycrest Terrace Minyabn, was also the rov of the Chapel at the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Center.
