  1. Rabbi Weinberger (many knew him by his English name, Rabbi Bernard Weinberger, was the Rav of the Young Israel of Brooklyn which was located in Williamsburg. There was a Young Israel of Williamsburg which was closer to the Fort Greene neighborhood.

As Anonymous wrote above the niftar had four children; R’ Mordechai, R’ Mayer, Mrs. Weissberg and Mrs. Wohlberg.

  2. Rabbi Weinberger was the Rov of the Young Israel of Brooklyn which was on either Rodney or Roebling St. The Young Israel of Williamsburg was on Willoughby Ave between Lewis Ave and Sumner Ave (now Marcus Garvey Blvd).

  3. I confirmed with R’ Mordechai and R’ Mayer that the Young Israel of Brooklyn was on Bedford, corner of Rodney St..
