Rabbi Dovid Gruman zt”l

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing over Shabbos Chol Hamoed of Rabbi Dovid Gruman zt”l of Los Angeles.

Rabbi Gruman was a beloved mechanech in Los Angeles for over four decades. He was a son of the late Rav Pinchus Gruman zt”l, longtime rov in Los Angeles, and a son-in-law of Rav Yaakov Moshe Kulefsky zt”l, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Ner Yisroel in Baltimore.

Rav Dovid is survived by his wife, Rebbetzin Faigy Gruman; his children, R’ Yisroel Gruman, Mrs. Rivky Tendler, Mrs. Brachy Retter, R’ Yehuda Gruman, Mrs. Esti Newmark, Mrs. Basya Zemel, Mrs. Eta Tikotzky, R’ Refoel Gruman, and Shaya Gruman; and grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Rabbi Aharon Gruman, Rabbi Zev Gruman, Mrs. Malky Ansbacher, and Mrs. Esther Fuss.

The levayah will take place tomorrow, Sunday, Hoshanah Rabbah, at 11 a.m., at the Congregation Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel, located at 613 Ramsey Avenue, off of East 7th Street, in Lakewood, NJ, followed by kevurah in the adjacent bais hachaim. No hespeidim will be delivered.
