It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rabbi Eliyahu Menachem Margulies z”l of Ramat Shlomo, Yerushalayim. He was 64.
Reb Eliyahu, a veteran of Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim, had a stroke earlier in the year, and since then his condition deteriorated.
Reb Eliyahu was noted for the outstanding amount of funds that he raised as a renowned gabbai tzedakah, beloved among the talmidim of the Mir and the members of the community of Ramat Shlomo who benefitted from his incredible chesed, kindness, generosity and sensitivity.
Apart from his many acts of kindness, he gave regular vaadim at the Mir and was very close to the Rosh Yeshiva Rav Nosson Tzvi Finkel zt”l, as well as to the current Rosh Yeshiva.
The levayah was held last night at the Aruch Laner shul on Rechov Rav Druk in the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood, with kevurah on Har Hazeisim.

Rav Eli’ zatal had a huge heart of gold and gave whatever he had to others. He also put much kochos in tefilla and was a big poel yeshuos. Yihi zichro boruch!
