melamed-granotLess than two weeks after strongly criticizing Mishpacha Magazine for allegedly publishing an interview containing a number of inaccuracies and misrepresentations, Rabbi Eliezer Melamed, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Har Bracha, has retracted his criticism and has said that he was wrong for his accusations against noted chareidi journalist Aharon Granot.

The original claim, reported in the B’Sheva Magazine, stated that Rabbi Melamed said that the Mishpacha interview with him contained portions that were actually written for Arutz Sheva and was replete with mistakes and serious errors.

Now, Rabbi Melamed has completely retracted that and has apologized to the magazine.

Rabbi Melamed still contends that coverage of the flap over the Hesder yeshivos and claims of calls for insubordination has left much to be desired, but he said that his strong statement specifically targeted at the Mishpacha Magazine were in error.
