candle-small4[Update below.] It is with great sadness that we report the passing of veteran mechanech Rabbi Moshe Weitman zt”l, founding director and dean of Torah Academy for Girls (TAG) in Far Rockaway, NY. TAG, located on Beach 6th Street, in Far Rockaway, is home to 1200 girls from preschool through high school. Rabbi Weitman led the school since its inception in 1963 with just 70 students and was well-known for his devotion to chinuch habanos and putting his students’ welfare above all else. For over four decades, Torah Academy for Girls has been known as one of the finest girls’ schools in North America thanks to Rabbi Weitman. Students include girls from all parts of the country and every one of them benefits from a superior chinuch – from nursery, to kindergarten, to elementary school, to high school – all under Rabbi Weitman’s impeccable direction.

Levaya details will be posted shortly.

 Yehi zichro boruch.

Update: The levaya will take place tomorrow morning, at 9:30 a.m., at the Torah Academy for Girls (TAG) building, located at 444 Beach 6th Street in Far Rockaway. Kevurah will follow at the bais hakevaros in Woodbridge, NJ.
