candle-small4It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Rabbi Yechezkel Friedman zt”l. Reb Yechezkel, who was 74, was a Yid who embodied the Torah world of old, exuding a love of Torah and Yahadus that was genuine and that infused others with ahavas Hashem. Reb Yechezkel, who hailed from Yerushalayim and was later a fixture at Yeshiva Bais Hatalmud and spent the last period in Lakewood, completed Shas several times during his life.

Despite experiencing many trials and tribulations during his lifetime, Reb Yechezkel demonstrated great emunah and bitachon and was a source of inspiration to those who knew and observed him.

The levaya will take place today, at 2 p.m., at the Seventh Street Holocaust Memorial Chapel of Congregation Sons of Israel in Lakewood and then at at Shomrei Hachomos Chapels, located at 4208 Ft. Hamilton Parkway in Boro Park, Brooklyn. The niftar will then be flown to Eretz Yisroel for kevurah.

Yehi zichro boruch.
