Rabbi Steinberg was a longtime rebbi at Yeshiva Torah Temimah in Brooklyn, NY.

For over thirty years, Rabbi Steinberg was a beloved rebbi, teacher and director of the yeshiva’s boys’ minyan, bringing his expertise in chinuch and his love for talmidim each and every day.

  1. It’s so hard to understand. He was the cause of thousands of kids davening. Thousands of kids haschalas Gemara. So many zechusim. It’s unbelievable.

Rabbi Steinberg was a magnet. Electric personality. So many of us looked up to him. He taught us how to daven for the amud. How to daven in general. He must be going straight to gan eden. BDE

rabbi steinberg zt”l was a master rebbi and mechanuch!
He started us on our lifelong journey through shas! I still remember his introduction to torah shebal peh, it was masterfully given. He was one of my favorite rebeim!

  3. BARUCH DAYAN HAEMES! This has literally been the worst thing I heard in a really long time (and there is a lot of bad news recently)! I know the family personally! Their children are real Chashuve Erliche children. Hashem should give them a nechama in these trying times!
Yehei Zichron Baruch! May Rabbi Steinberg’s Neshama have an Aliya!
    We need Mashiach NOW!!!

  4. My heart was pounding when I heard this. Rabbi Steinberg is one of my rabbeim that I can say “if not for him I wouldn’t be who I am today!”

  5. We have a lost a true diamond within our midst. He was a light of Torah who taught fathers and then their sons. Our hearts are truly broken to have lost a light in our midst. He is truly a Korban for Klall Yisroel. No words can even express our deep pain at losing this most elevated neshama. May H-shem give his family koach to handle this terrible tragedy. May the coming of Moshiach be speedy so we can reunite with all these special gedolim.

    A Torah Temimah Parent

  6. BDE. We taught together for many years in Yeshiva Torah Temimah.
What a gifted mechanech he was! So devoted to his talmidim and so
dedicated in his avodas Hashem. He lit so many young hearts to seek
greatness in Torah and yirah. This is a tremendous loss – may Hashem
comfort the widow and children sheyichyu.

  7. The hardest part of today was telling my son the news. Minyan and raffles were the highlight of his day and he had a special kesher with Rabbi Steinberg. There are simply no words to describe how much impact Rabbi Steinberg had on each talmid. This is a huge loss for the yeshiva and k’lal Yisroel. He should be meilitz yosher for his family and the whole klal Yisroel in this very challenging time.

  8. We went to yeshiva together and graduated high school together and then to bais medrash. He was my chavrusa one zman. I actually saw him transition into the the gem of an individual he was today. What a loss for klal yisroel! It’s too painful to think about.
    Please HKB’H, have rachmanus!

  9. BDE. My 3 boys were all zoche to have this most amazing mechanech as their Rebbe. One of his sons was also a classmate of one of my sons.
We still to this day sing his niggunim from Rosh Chodesh
To this day we still talk about how he prepared the boys to daven for the amud and lain. His smile was beautiful, his love for all his talmidim was legendary, his respect for the parents was humbling. We the parents the hanhala and all of klal Yisroel have lost a diamond. Please Hashem please bring the geulah bimhaira!

  10. Very sad. What was the CAUSE? Don’t reply what difference does it make. It makes a difference in our collective understanding.
