One week after being weaned off of a respirator, the Rachmastrivka Rebbe has been released from Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan.

The Rebbe went home yesterday, a week and a half or so after being hospitalized at the Intensive Care Unit of Mount Sinai.

The rebbe had been first hospitalized on the third day of Chol Hamoed Pesach due to a bout of pneumonia. He returned home the next day, shortly before the onset of the second days of Yom Tov. The rebbe suffered a setback last Sunday and was hospitalized once again.

The rebbe, Rav Chai Yitzchok Isaac Twersky, is a son of Rav Yochanan Twersky, the previous Rachmastrivka Rebbe zt”l, and a son-in-law of Rav Yaakov Yosef Twersky, the previous Skverer Rebbe zt”l.

The rebbe, a renowned tzaddik and mashpiah, leads his bais medrash and kehillah in Boro Park, Brooklyn.

The rebbe will continue to convalesce at home, following the directives of his physicians, who are hopeful for a full recovery, be’ezras Hashenm.

All are asked to continue davening for Rav Chai Yitzchok ben Esther Rivka.
