rainPesach may be here, but a  low pressure system is moving into the Tri-State area and will bring 1 to 1.5 inches of rain along with potential flooding.

That system is coming from the west.

Wind will increase to gusts of 40 to 50 miles-per-hour in the Tri-State, and a Wind Advisory will be in effect for most of the area until 1 a.m. Sunday.

Coast Flood Warnings and Coastal Flood Advisories have been issued for all five boroughs of New York City, as well as Nassau, Suffolk and southern Westchester Counties and much of New Jersey, until 12 a.m.

The system won’t last long, however, as Sunday’s forecast is for partly sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures.

Temperatures will move up into 60s during the week and reach 70 by Wednesday.
