During a shmuess delivered by Rav Yaakov Adas, he referred to the storm surrounding the High Court’s ruling against Aryeh Deri and said, “I told Deri a long time ago not to come back. ‘They will look for you. Go get involved in chinuch. Now your job is to correct what is outside, not there [in the Knesset].”

Rav Adas made the remarks after a Shovavim gathering at Bais Medrash Tiferes Ugedulah in Yerushalayim led by Rav Shimon Dror.

Rav Ades added: “They offered him a plea deal. I told him that he would have to promise them that he would not be a minister or a member of Knesset. He would manage the education network. What does he have from being the Minister of the Interior and being responsible for the sewage of Umm El Fahm? Instead, he should work on the chinuch of thousands of yaldei Yisroel.

Later, Rav Adas spoke out harshly against the members of the Knesset and said that what is happening there “is a shame and a disgrace.”
