Rav Aharon Schechter Attends Chaim Berlin Dinner Despite Weakness

Yeshivas Rabbeinu Chaim Berlin held its 112th Anniversary Dinner last night at the Brooklyn Marriott in Brooklyn, NY.

Despite having been hospitalized and experiencing immense weakness, the rosh yeshiva, Rav Aharon Schechter, attended the dinner, to the great joy of the many attendees.

There was a private reception area where guests were able to meet with the rosh yeshiva and receive his bracha.

Attendees, including current talmidim and alumni, also met with the senior ramim and bais medrash rabbeim of the yeshiva.

At the dinner, Avy Azeroual was the guest of honor, Rabbi Joseph Loebenstein received the Yovel Alumnus Award, Avrohom Backenroth received the Keser Shem Tov Award, Mr. Elchonon Hamada received the Parent of the Year Award, Yisroel Meir Siegfried received the Alumnus of the Year Award, and Michael Thau received the Young Leadership Alumnus Award.

The dinner inaugurated the yeshiva’s campus expansion and renewal project, a multi-million dollar initiative.
