rav-aryeh-finkelThis Sunday, one month after the sudden petirah on Tuesday of Rav Nosson Tzvi Finkel zt”l, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Mir-Yerushalayim, his son, the new rosh yeshiva, Rav Eliezer Yehuda Finkel, will be traveling overseas on a mission to raise $5 million to address the unprecedented financial crunch faced by the yeshiva.

The rosh yeshiva will be accompanied by his mother, Rebbetzin Finkel, on a visit to the United States.

Rav Aryeh Finkel, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Mir-Brachfeld, will be traveling to London.

This week, Rav Binyamin Carlebach, R”M at the yeshiva and brother-in-law of Rav Nosson Tzvi, already departed Eretz Yisroel for the U.S.

The trip for Rav Aryeh Finkel to England will be the first he has ever made on behalf of the yeshiva.

Later this month, Yeshivas Mir-Brachfeld will be celebrating a hachnosas Sefer Torah of a Sefer Torah written in memory of Rav Nosson Tzvi Finkel zt”l.

  1. All us talmidim of his great father zecher tzadik vekodosh levrocha are eagerly awaiting his arrival. To top this all off we will also be zocha to see one of the Tzadikie Hador Harav Aryeh Shlita.

  2. To #2: there is no such math to compute, because Mir does not charge tuition. Those who come with a desire to learn are accepted, and may eat meals, although they usually have to find (and foot the rent for)their own dorm apartment.

  3. The Mir does charge tution. Before a bochur is accepted an agreement is reached between his parents and the yeshiva as to how much they are able to pay.

However, yungerleit do not pay and recieve a stipend instead.

  4. if each person at the levaya and each who was touched would pledge 100 dollars a year to MIr. that would be 10 million from eretz yisroel and at least half that form US and rest of Chutz!
