It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rav Avrohom Eliezer Kviat zt”l. He was 72.

Rav Kviat was a R”M at Yeshiva Tiferes Shmuel-Aleksander in Boro Park and the mara d’asra of Agudas Yisroel of 18th Avenue in Boro Park.

Rav Kivat was a son of Rav Dovid Kviat zt”l, the author of Sukkas Dovid who was a R”M for years at Mirrer Yeshiva and the mara d’asra of Agudas Yisroel of 18th Avenue.

Rav Avrohom Eliezer was an outstanding talmid chochom who inspired hundreds of bnei Torah over the years, raising them to new heights in aliyah baTorah. His sterling character and his care for every individual impacted his talmidim and mispallelim alike.

With the support of his wife, Rebbetzin Baila, nee Friedman, Rav Avrohom Eliezer spent his life immersed in limud and harbotzas haTorah.

He became the rov of Agudas Yisroel of 18th Avenue following his father’s petirah.

The levayag is being held at the Agudas Yisroel of 18th Avenue.

Yehi zichro boruch.
