rav-binyomin-kamenetzkyThe Kessler Institute in West Orange, New Jersey, was the site of a kumzitz this past Sunday, as Rav Binyamin Kamenetzky shlit”a, who is currently recovering at the institute, was joined by eighth graders, parents and friends from the West orange community for an inspiring kumzitz.

As reported here last month, Rav Kamenetzky fell and suffered a blow to the head at the Sephardic Shul, Derech Emunah, on Peninsula Boulevard in Cedarhurst. Thousands of admirers and talmidim have davened and said Tehillim for Rav Binyomin ben Itta Ettil, l’refuah sheleimah, and, boruch Hashem, Rav Kamenetzky is gradually recovering at the Kessler Institute.

Rav Kamenetzky is the eldest son of Rav Yaakov Kamenetzky zt”l and was sent by his venerable father, decades ago, to The Five Towns to bring Torah and Yiddishkeit to that part of New York. A true Torah pioneer in the Five Towns, he is well-known for his warm and endearing personality, and is beloved by all.

Rav Kamenetzky serves as dean of Yeshiva Toras Chaim of South Shore.

At the gathering on Sunday, Rav Mordechai Kamenetzky, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva of South Shore, shared remarks, and the crowd then joined in singing and dancing.
