It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Rav Binyomin Tzeichner zt”l, who passed away Shabbos morning at Maayanei Hayeshuah Hospital in Bnei Brak. He was 95 years old.
Rav Tzeichner, who lived for years on Rechov Raavad in Bnei Brak, was born in Germany on 28 Sivan in the year tof reish pey and endured the horrors of the Holocaust.
He immigrated to Eretz Yisroel and settled near the Ponovezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, becoming a close disciple of Rav Mordechai Shlomo Berman, rosh yeshiva in Yeshivas Ponevezh.
Rav Tzeichner and his rebbetzin lived their lives for others, dedicated their days and nights to fellow Yidden. They did not merit to have children.
Rav Tzeichner was a great talmid chochom, who had a wide range of knowledge in Torah, and was known as a pious individual with remarkable yiras Shomayim.
All are asked to learn l’illui nishmas Rav Binyomin ben Rav Avrohom.
The levayah was held at the Maayanei Hayeshuah Hospital, followed by kevurah at the Segulah Bais Hachaim in Petach Tikva. There were no hespeidim, as per Rav Tzeichner’s tzava’ah.
