It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rav Boruch Yosef Faivelson zt”l, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Nachlas Naftali in Tzefas. He was 65.

Rav Boruch was a son of Rav Shmuel Avigdor Faivelson, rosh Mosdos Nachlas Naftali in Tzefas, and Rebbetzin Chana Leah Faivelson, daughter of the noted mekubal Rav Yosel Kluft, av bais din of Haifa and author of Daas Yoel.

Rav Boruch was named after his zaide, Rav Boruch Yosef Faivelson, rosh yeshivas Radin, author of Sefer Birkas Yosef and son-in-law of Rav Naftoli Tropp.

As a bochur, Rav Boruch learned at Ponovezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, where he was recognized as a metzuyan. He then married his wife, a daughter of Rav Betzalel Fachtholt. After his wedding, he and his wife moved to the city of Tzefas, where he opened his yeshiva, Nachlas Naftali, named after his elter zaide, Rav Naftali Tropp, rosh yeshivas Radin.

Rav Boruch was marbitz Torah for decades, devoting his life to learning and teaching Torah.

Over twenty years ago, he experienced the tragic drowning of his son, Yoel. Several years ago, Rav Boruch had a stroke.

He leaves behind his wife, children and grandchildren, as well as his siblings.

The levayah was held at Yeshiva Nachlas Naftali in Tzefas, followed by kevurah at the bais hachaim in Tzefas.

Yehi zichro boruch.
