Rav Chaim Kanievsky Released from the Hospital

Rav Chaim Kanievsky was released this morning from Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center after spending the night there under the close watch of physicians. Rav Chaim davened Shacharis at the hospital before returning to his home on Rechov Rashbam in Bnei Brak.

Rav Chaim was taken to the hospital last night by his driver, Reb Arye Epstein, after he wasn’t feeling well. He underwent a number of tests during the ensuing hours.

The hospitalization came just hour after Rav Chaim visited the kever of his father, the Steipler Gaon, Rav Yaakov Yisroel Kanievsky zt”l, in Bnei Brak. The Steipler’s yahrtzeit was on Shabbos. Rav Chaim had also davened at the kever of his aishes chayil, Rebbetzin Batsheva Kanievsky a”h.

He then participated in the wedding of a daughter of Rav Eliezer Lieberman at the Heichalei Malchus Hall in Bnei Brak, reciting Bracha Achritah under the chupah. A short while later, he was hospitalized.

Boruch Hashem, he is back home, but all are asked to daven for Rav Shmaryahu Yosef Chaim ben Pesha Miriam.
