rav-chaim-kanievskyLadaat.net reports that a chosson, who is slated to get married in Mexico, approached Harav Chaim Kanievsky shlit”a for advice on whether he should fly there now, with the swine flu pandemic getting worse with each passing day. The wedding is scheduled to be held in approximately two weeks, according to the Ladaat.net report. Others who have been sho’el eitzah by rabbonim have received similar responses, with the rabbonim advising all Yidden to refrain from flying to Mexico in light of the danger presented by the ever-spreading swine flu.

Members of the Jewish community in Mexico, Ladaat.net reports, have asked rabbonim in Eretz Yisroel whether they should attempt to leave their country and make their way to Eretz Yisroel. The response was to remain in Mexico and be sure to closely follow the medical protocols set forth by the health officials in that country.
