chaim-pinchos-scheinbergThe annual Yeshiva Torah Ore Dinner will be held tonight at Ateres Chaya Hall in Boro Park, Brooklyn, and will be a momentous occasion and exhibition of true kavod haTorah, with the participation of gedolei Torah, lay leaders and Torah Ore alumni throughout the United States and Canada. The evening will pay tribute to the revered rosh yeshiva, Rav Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg, marking 75 years of worldwide harbotzas haTorah. During that time, the rosh yeshiva‘s tremendous hashpa’ah made a tremendous impact upon hundreds upon hundreds of talmidim

The dinner will also pay tribute to the memory of Rebbetzin Basha Scheinberg a”h, the rosh yeshiva‘s dedicated rebbetzin who was just niftar this past month. Her devotion to her husband and the talmidim of the yeshiva was legendary, and the dinner will commemorate her own 75 years of harbotzas haTorah. There will be a hascholas kesivas Sefer Torah in honor of the rosh yeshiva and in memory of his rebbetzin.

For many decades, the rosh yeshiva, Rav Scheinberg, has led Torah Ore with selfless devotion to every talmid.  Thousands of its alumni have gone on to become roshei yeshiva, rabbonim, rabbeim, and professional lay leaders of Jewish communities throughout the world.  The rosh yeshiva‘s teachings and seforim are disseminated by his talmidim across the globe.

The yeshiva has grown over the years, with a current enrollment of over 700 talmidim, including one of the largest kollelim in Yerushalayim.

The kesher that is created between Rav Scheinberg and his talmidim never ends, and while they have each gone their separate ways, they all share a steadfast devotion to the rosh yeshiva and an unwavering hakoras hatov.

The dinner will also pay tribute to the Alumni of the Year, Duvid Freier and Moshe Kupferstein.

A special tribute to the rosh yeshiva will be made by close talmidim and yedidim, including Eddie Betesh, Pinchas David, Yanky Dinowitz, Shmuel Kairy, Feive Katz, Harry Neuhoff, Rubin Schron, Rivie Schwebel, Eli Shindler, Yaakov Singer, A. Joseph Stern and Moshe Vegh.

The rabbinic chairman of the dinner will be Rav Dovid Weinberger, beloved rov of Cong. Shaaray Tefilah in Cedarhurst and a grandson of Rav Scheinberg.
