Rav Chaim Stein to Address Yeshiva Birchas Chaim Reception Tonight

Tonight, Yeshiva Birchas Chaim of Lakewood will hold its 10^th Anniversary Reception at the home of R’ Mordechai Schron, located at 1430 Ardenwood Avenue. This morning, the Lakewood community greeted the venerated zekan roshei yeshivos in the United States, Rav Chaim Stein, who has arrived from Cleveland in honor of the event. Rav Stein davened at Yeshiva Birchas Chaim this morning and delivered words of chizuk to the bochurim of the yeshiva after Shacharis.

This year heralds a decade of excellence in chinuch for Yeshiva Birchas Chaim during which the yeshiva has imbued its bochurim with the foundations of lomdus, wellsprings of ahavas haTorah and yiras Shomayim.

In Elul of 2000, Yeshiva Birchas Chaim was founded upon the urging of Rav Chaim Stein. Rav Chaim’s son, Rav Shmuel Zalman Stein, stands at the helm of the yeshiva and has assembled an elite staff. Rav Shmuel Zalman and the rabbeim at Birchas Chaim give superb shiurim and shmuessen to the bochurim. More importantly, though, they treat the bochurim with the same sense of achrayus and ahava that they would give their own children. They intently focus on the sustained growth of each bochur, both in learning and in yiras Shomayim. There is an air of excitement and accomplishment in the bais medrash borne of true ameilus and yegiah baTorah. Since its inception, the yeshiva has earned acclaim as one of Lakewood’s premier mesivtos.

Another unique quality that Birchas Chaim possesses is that it benefits from the constant guidance of its meyased, Rav Chaim Stein. The rosh yeshiva is a frequent visitor to the yeshiva and has delivered many shiurim and shmuessen at the yeshiva. The yeshiva‘s success is a source of great nachas and pride to the rosh yeshiva. The yeshiva is part of his legacy, the continuing chain of the mesorah of which he is a shining link.

In celebration of the yeshiva‘s 10^th year, a journal will be released in conjunction with the tonight. The gathering will serve as a celebration of the transmission of Torah and the building of Torah, and all participants will have a chance to give kavod to a person who certainly personifies to the maximum the heilige ideals of Torah.
