Rav Dinner On The Government: “Let Them Fall Into The Ground Like The Sons Of Korach”

Rav Yehuda Aryeh Dinner, rov of downtown Bnei Brak, referred to the dissolution of the Knesset during his daily shiur and wished for the members of the government “to fall into the ground like the sons of Korach.”

He remarked, “This week is Parshas Korach [in Eretz Yisroel], and Rav Shteinman was always afraid of this week of Korach chas veshalom being one of machlokes.”

He added, “Boruch Hashem that we heard about the fall of the evil government, like we davened on Rosh Hashanah, ‘Ki saavir memsheles zadon min haaretz.’ And like the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbeinu Rav Gershon Edelstein said, we should have kavanah when saying ‘Velamalshinim al tehi sikvah vechol harisha k’rega toveidu,’ that we should always daven in this tefillah that the government will fall. And Boruch Hashem the tefillos were accepted. Let them fall again, and they will fall into the ground like Korach, and all evil will cease, with the help of Hashem. ”

Rav Dinner added: “On this alone we must say Nishmas to Hakadosh Boruch Hu to thank him that it has already stopped, and that all gezeiros that are against the Torah Hakdosha should stop…”
