Ponovezh rosh yeshiva Maran Rav Gershon Edelstein is still hospitalized at Mayanei Hayeshuah hospital in Bnei Brak, where he spent Shabbos.
The rosh yeshiva davened the Shabbos tefillos with a number of talmidim who joined him in his room, and he ate the Shabbos meals with his daughter and son-in-law, Reb Avraham Yeshayahu Adler, rosh yeshiva at Yeshivas Rav Chaim Ozer.
Shabbos morning, a bris was held in his room for his great-grandson, a grandson of his son-in-law, Rav Itamar Garbaz, rosh yeshiva at Yeshiva Orchos Torah, son of Rav Zvi Yehuda Garbaz and son-in-law of Rav Elazar Dovid Epstein. Rav Gershon served as the sandek.
The rosh yeshiva is feeling well and remains in the hospital for observation and further tests.
On Motzoei Shabbos, the chairman of Degel HaTorah, MK Moshe Gafni, arrived at the hospital to speak to the rosh yeshiva.
All are asked to continue to daven for Rav Yerachmiel Gershon ben Miriam.
