Rav Meir Mazuz said in a video released last night that Israel’s new Knesset speaker – the first person in the role who lives a toeivah lifestyle – was “infected with a deadly disease.”

Rav Mazuz also suggested during his weekly drasha that new Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana’s toeivah lifestyle caused the deadly Meron tragedy in 2021. Ohana served as Public Security Minister during the tragedy that killed 45 people.

The comments on Ohana came after Rav Mazuz mentioned the annual LGBT Pride Parade in Yerushalayim, telling residents to close their windows when it happened. He also advised people to explain to their children the parade consists of “animals that walk on two.”

“You should distance yourself from it,” he continued. “This is a parade of animals. You have no business looking at it. What can we do about them?”

Then, referring to Ohana without using his name, Mazuz continued: “Two years ago, when there was the disaster in Meron, they say that the minister who was responsible was infected with this disease. Is there a question why this happened to us?” –i24 News

  1. Maybe it’s time to stop being indifferent to the secular G-dless government allowing them to do whatever they want, including the filth parades

  2. No question that Ohana’s appointment is upsetting to any descent citizen, not to speak of Jewish sensitivity to this blatant rebellion against the G-d of Israel. I am offended and embarrassed by this appointment. This is a “Jewish democracy” in the words of our prime minister. Not so Jewish after all. I would like to see as Speaker someone who represents the Jewish character of the State. Bibi was not considerate this time. This appointment is a bad influence on the general youth of this country. Giving honor to sinners is a Hilul Hashem.

  3. I realize that the religious parties are invested in Netanyahu’s coalition, but how did they let this get by? I hope they’re not pushovers in general.

  4. Agree with the previous four comments. Well stated. It is all over.. unless we straighten up their backbones and force this guy out

  5. a new religous party needs to be formed and no one should vote for these parties anymore. they appointed him not just bibi. they could have declined. he should pray for amir to do teshuva.
