It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rav Mordechai Avrohom Katz zt”l, rov of Khal Avreichei Torah Vodaas in Brooklyn, NY.
Rav Mottel was a son of Rav Aharon Aryeh Katz, mara d’asra of Khal Bais Aharon in Flatbush. His mother, Malka, was a daughter of Rav Elazar Twersky, Faltishaner Rebbe of Boro Park.
He was a noted marbitz Torah, who spent his years immersed in learning and teaching Torah, and performing numerous chassodim for others.
He is survived by his four children and seven siblings.
The levayah was held today at Khal Avreichei Torah Vodaas on 16th Avenue in Boro Park.

So sad how people were fooled by doctors they trusted and by the government?
I remember him from his father’s shul about 50 years ago as a kind man with a sense of humor who always had a smile on his face. Boruch dayan emes.
R motel was a beautiful harrziga baal tfilah that brought tears to our eyes we would look foward to the yomim noraim in his fathers shul where he would come every year to daven may he be a snaliach tzibur ti daven for klal yisrael in shomayim
