Rav Reuven Feinstein underwent successful knee replacement surgery today. The octogenarian rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva of Staten Island in Staten Island, New York, is said to be doing well, bechasdei Hashem. His family relates that the doctor is happy with the results.
Today, as the rosh yeshiva was in surgery, talmidim and campers at Camp Yeshiva of Staten Island in the Catskills held a special retzufos seder as a zechus for the rosh yeshiva.
Rav Reuven has been at Camp Yeshiva of Staten Island this summer, giving his regular shiurim and shmuessen there to packed crowds in the camp’s bais medrash.
As the rosh yeshiva convalesces, all are asked to daven for the complete refuah of Shalom Reuven ben Shima.
