Rav Shalom Cohen, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Porat Yosef and nosi of the Shas party’s Moetzet Chachmei Hatorah, was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center after he began suffering acute pain in his leg.
Rav Cohen felt weakness in recent days after a hectic few weeks, including overseas travel, including a trip to Europe, in recent months.
Wednesday night, he was taken to the hospital for tests. Doctors met to discuss various methods of treatment.
All are asked to daven for a speedy and complete recovery for Rav Shalom ben Malka.
