Rav Shlomo Elyashiv in Serious Condition

Rav Shlomo Elyashiv, a son of the posek hador, Rav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, was hospitalized on Thursday after feeling unwell and is now in serious condition after medical personnel had to perform life-saving CPR last night. Rav Shlomo, who is 82 years old, is the rov of Bais Medrash Tiferes Bachurim, where his father delivered shiurim for 50 years.

The CPR was performed following the guidance of Rav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv.

Rav Shlomo remains at Bikur Cholim Medical Center in Yerushalayim under the close watch of physicians.

Rav Shlomo is named after his illustrious elte zaide, Rav Shlomo Elyashiv zt”l, author of the Leshem.

As reported on Matzav.com earlier this month, Rav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv marked his 101^st birthday on Rosh Chodesh Nissan. The posek hador has been kept apprised of his son’s condition.
