In recent years, Rav Lorincz’s experiences with the gedolei hador of the previous generation were recorded in the best-selling bemechitzasamvolumes titled “Bemechitzasam,” which have since been translated into English as “In Their Shadows.” This fascinating multi-volume work offers an intimate glimpse into the lives of the gedolei hador, through a wealth of stories and first-hand encounters withrav-lorincz Rav Lorincz. 1. I have not yet read the books written by Rav Lorincz. But I have read about him in biographies of the Chazon Ish Z”L and the Steipler Gaon Z”L. He was a great asset to both of these Gedolim. BTW anyone having chest pain, even a healthy person should seek immediate medical attention.

  2. Boruch Dayan HaEmes.

I heard him speak at one of the Agudath Israel conventions. A few days after that, I met him in person. At that time, I was working for a short while as an assistant at the setting up of the Agudath Israel archives. Rav Lorincz, ZT’L, had come to the AI office and visited the archives. I well remember him standing at the table and looking at some of the papers we had there; greatly encouraging us he exclaimed: “A very Chashuva Arbert!! (A very important work!!).”

    Yehi Zichro Boruch.
