Rav Machpoud, the gaavad of Badatz Yoreh Deah, was not feeling well on leil Shabbos and was taken to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.
The 82-year-old rov is the mara d’asra of the Yemenite community in Eretz Yisroel.
