Rav Shteinman Tells Bochur to Stay, Yungerman to Return to the South

This past Shabbos, Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman was reciting Tehillim with his minyan due to the current matzav, after he was told by someone from the Home Front an invasion into Gaza was imminent. After Shabbos, three bochurim from the Tifrach Yeshiva who had gone home to Bnei Brak for Shabbos went to ask Rav Shteinman if they should return to yeshiva. The Tifrach Yeshiva, located in Southern Israel, is in range of the Hamas rockets but has remained in the South nonetheless. Rav Shteinman replied that the bochurim should remain home in Bnei Brak. At a different point, a yungerman currently learning in a kollel in Be’er Sheva who had been in Bnei Brak for Shabbos asked Rav Shteinman whether he should return to his kollel in the South. Rav Shteinman told the yungerman that indeed he should go back to Be’er Sheva.
At his weekly Motzoei Shabbos shiur, Rav Shteinman told those in attendance that our job is to strengthen ourselves in emunah.
