Rav Yaakov Yitzchok Eichorn zt”l

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rav Yaakov Yitzchok Eichorn zt”l. He was 98 years old.

Rav Eichorn was a close talmid of Rav Shlomo Heiman zt”l at Yeshiva Torah Vodaas and Rav Shlomo was the mesader kiddushin at his wedding.

Known as “the Poilishe Ilui,” Rav Eichorn’s shiur notes were used in the preparation and publication of Rav Shlomo’s Torah novella, Chiddushei Rav Shlomo.

Rav Eichorn served as a maggid shiur at Yeshiva Torah Vodaas for many years and was a beloved rebbi to hundreds of talmidim.

Together with his devoted wife, Rebbetzin Feile Yocheved a”h, he established a beautiful Torahdike family spanning five generations. He is survived by his children, R’ Dovid Eichorn, R’ Moshe Eichorn, R’ Ari Eichorn, R’ Gershy Eichorn, R’ Yissochor Dov Eichorn, Mrs. Nechama Gold, Mrs. Judy Tenenbaum, Mrs. Faigy Greenfield, Mrs. Libby Wenger, and Mrs. Mimi Shapiro.
