As first reported on Matzav Status, Rav Yitzchok Meir Morgenstern, rov of the Toras Chacham kehillah in Yerushalayim, is en route from Eretz Yisroel to the United States to attend the wedding this week of a daughter of noted baal tzedakah Mr. Leizer Scheiner of Monsey.
Rav Morgenstern, in his youth, learned in Lucerne and Gateshead. He married the daughter of Rav Yosef Lubinsky, the Chantshin Rebbe of Antwerp, and moved to Yerushalayim, where he learned under mekubal Rav Eliezer Shlomo Schick and Rav Nissan Dovid Kivak. He became renowned as a noted mekubal and world-renowned tzaddik and talmid chochom.
During his visit to the United States this week – his first in many years – he will be staying at the home of Leizer and Heather Scheiner in Forshay, Monsey. The day after the Scheiner wedding, he is slated to attend the chanukas habayis of the Toras Chacham Bais Medrash in Monsey which will operate under his auspices.

I think he was just a youngster then, so seems a stretch to say that he learned under the Rosh Yeshiva as a HS bochur.

Rav Itche Meir was close with Rav Aharon Brafman Zt”l from when Rav Brafman Zt”l was the learning director and Rav Itche Meir Shlita was a camper.
